Terms of Service

By creating an account, forming or joining a carpool group, or otherwise using PUL, you agree to these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree, do not use PUL.

PUL is a technology platform that helps event attendees, commuters, and neighbors find each other and coordinate shared rides.

PUL is NOT a transportation provider, carrier, taxi service, dispatch service, or transportation network company. PUL does not own, operate, or control any vehicle; does not employ, contract with, or vet any driver; does not assign riders to vehicles; does not set, collect, or split transportation fares; and does not transport passengers. Any ride that a PUL carpool group takes together is arranged solely between the driver and the riders who mutually consent to travel together.

PUL facilitates group formation and provides tools (invitations, messaging, and optional sponsored ride vouchers issued by third parties). All decisions to offer, accept, or complete a ride — and all conduct during it — are made by the users involved, not by PUL.

You are responsible for maintaining account confidentiality and for all activities under your account. You agree to use PUL only for lawful purposes.

You are responsible for evaluating anyone the platform introduces you to, for arranging your own transportation, and for complying with all laws that apply to you, including traffic law, insurance requirements, and any local rules on shared rides or cost-sharing.

Carpooling with someone you met through PUL involves inherent risks, including those of motor vehicle travel and of meeting people you do not know. You voluntarily choose to use PUL, to contact and be contacted by other users, and to travel with them.

BY USING PUL YOU ACCEPT THESE RISKS AND ASSUME FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY AND DECISIONS. PUL does not guarantee the identity, background, driving record, vehicle condition, or intentions of any user, and no reputation badge, verification mark, or match on the platform is a safety guarantee.

You agree to use good judgment: review profiles and reputation signals, share your exact address only after you are comfortable, meet in public places, tell someone where you are going, and decline or leave any ride that does not feel right.

Drivers affirm and represent that they: (a) hold a valid driver’s license for the vehicle they drive; (b) maintain legally required vehicle registration and current insurance covering their use of the vehicle; and (c) will operate lawfully, safely, and in compliance with all applicable laws, including any limits on accepting compensation for shared rides.

Riders affirm and represent that they: (a) are of legal age and lawfully permitted to use PUL; (b) will comply with all laws and the driver’s reasonable instructions while in the vehicle; and (c) will not use PUL for any unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purpose.

Both parties acknowledge these affirmations each time they post, offer, request, or accept a ride on PUL. If any representation becomes untrue, you must stop using PUL for ride coordination immediately.

PUL does not provide insurance to drivers or riders, and PUL’s role does not extend any insurance coverage to any ride. Personal auto policies may not cover all shared-ride scenarios — verifying coverage is your responsibility.

When PUL delivers a voucher or credit for a third-party transportation provider (such as a rideshare or autonomous vehicle partner), that provider provides the transportation under its own terms, and your use of it is governed by your relationship with that provider, not by PUL.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PUL is provided "as is" and "as available". PUL is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, nor for any harm, loss, or dispute arising from rides, meetings, or other interactions between users — including any claim based on PUL having introduced, matched, or notified users about each other.

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance of modified terms. Material changes will be surfaced in the app.
